Statistics from Google Destination Insights show that the number of international searches about Vietnam’s tourism is growing by 50-75%, the fourth highest increase in the world. Since Vietnam was reopened for international visitors on March 15, this index has continuously maintained the highest growth rate in the world, showing the strong recovery proceeding of the tourism industry.
In particular, the number of international aviation searches to Vietnam from March had continuously gone up and reached an increase of 663% in early April then 720% in the middle of that month compared to the same period last year. By the end of April, the number of aviation searches to Vietnam had reached 1.114% and continued to increase in May with the highest point of 2,000% compared to the same period in 2021.
