ITE HCMC Travel Award 2022 honored 91 outstanding travel businesses 

On the afternoon of 9th September, within the framework of the 16th Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo 2022 (ITE HCMC 2022), the awarding ceremony “ITE HCMC Travel Award 2022” was successfully organized. This event honored the remarkable achievements of domestic and international tourism units,  who have proactively contributed to the fair.

The award ceremony welcomed the presence of Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa – Director of the City Department of Tourism Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Nguyen Quy Phuong – Director of Travel Department, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Mr. Duong Tri Dung – General Director of C.I.S Vietnam and Mr. Le Quoc Vinh – Chairman of Le & Brothers Group (Le Bros), representatives of departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, provincial tourism associations, tourism businesses, etc. 

The ITE HCMC ,Travel Awards 2022 is an annual activity of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, organized within the framework of the ITE HCMC 2022, to honor outstanding businesses with excellent achievements and contributions to the tourism industry in the field of hospitality, aviation, and cuisine. 

At the same time, the event also contributes to turning tourism into a spearhead economic sector by promoting emulation movements, service quality improvement, and brand building. 

Speaking at the awarding ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa,  Representative of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, shared that she acknowledged the tremendous contributions from tourism units to the accomplishment of the whole industry and ITE HCMC 2022. Overcoming two years hit hard by the pandemic, travel companies, restaurants, and hotels have come back stronger and more professional. In just a short time, businesses have joined hands to launch effective tourism stimulus programs, contributing to the growth of tourism indicators. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism will continue to consult the People’s Committee in implementing the state management of tourism in Ho Chi Minh City, encouraging the emulation movement to increase the number of notable tourism enterprises. 

During the three days of the Fair, ITE HCMC 2022 attracted nearly 300 businesses from 41 provinces and cities and tourism agencies from 28 countries and territories. These numbers partly demonstrate the success and impact of ITE HCMC 2022. 

With three award categories, including ITE Best Booth Design Award, ITE Exhibitor Recognition Award, and ITE Partner Recognition Award. The ceremony honored 91 businesses and organizations, which are travel agencies, hotels, restaurants, etc.

ITE HCMC 2022 will last until September 10 with engaging activities such as the tourism stimulus event “Consumers Festival”. Visitors coming to the consumer public festival also receive exclusive special travel promotions on flight tickets, accommodation, and tour packages. The fair is expected to host more than 22,000 attendants, including 10,000 commercial visitors and 12,000 public ones.

The event was endorsed the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, co-organized by the Department of Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Center, CIS Vietnam Company and Le Bros Company.
